WARRIORS striker Tinotenda Kadewere allegedly poked and threatened journalist Yvonne Mangunda during a heated confrontation that briefly stopped the team’s training session at Orlando Stadium on Sunday.
Sources said Kadewere accused Mangunda of writing negative stories about him before tempers flared. The incident forced coaches to step in and restore order as players watched in shock.
Following the bust-up, ZIFA issued a statement condemning the altercation, stressing that journalists must be free to work without fear.
“The player has apologised to Ms Mangunda and an amicable understanding has been reached,” read part of the statement.
ZIFA added that the matter is now being handled internally through disciplinary processes.
The Warriors are in camp preparing for their next 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
