PREPARATIONS for the annual Kadoma Music Festival are on course with event organisers expecting the event to boost domestic tourism.
Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platunumz is set to headline this year’s edition scheduled for October 5 at The Odyssey Kadoma.
Superstars Jah Prayzah, Alick Macheso, and Winky lead an array of local acts taking part at the event.
Sainfloew, Kurai Makore, Gemma Griffiths, DJ L-Roy and DJ King Her complete the line-up.
Festival director Tichaona Mharadze said it was all systems go.
“We have covered almost 90 percent of what is required to host the show,” he said.
“It is now our third edition and we expect people to show up in numbers. Most of the rooms have been taken and advance tickets are selling like hotcakes.”
Mharadze hailed local players in the hospitality sector for supporting the festival.
“We are glad the hospitality sector is receiving good business because of our festival. We are also doing our best to market Kadoma’s hospitality.”
Maradze is one of the arts promoters who have gone out of his way to put Kadoma on the map.
Over the years, Mharadze’s Kadoma venue has hosted icons such as Koffi Olomide, Mafikizolo and Makhadzi
