KADOMA’S WATER CRISIS WORSENS

KADOMA’S water crisis has worsened, forcing residents to turn to unprotected sources.

The town’s taps have been dry for two weeks.

This has also led to an increase in the cost of water from vendors who are taking advantage of the crisis to hike prices.

Many residents cannot afford the high cost and are resorting to consuming untreated water from streams, risking contracting water-borne diseases.

Council has been slow in responding to the crisis, citing a lack of funding and resources to address the situation.

This has angered many residents, who feel abandoned and neglected.

The city is in dire need of immediate intervention to provide potable water to its residents before the situation gets worse.

“We queue for long periods because some people control supplies at private boreholes. If you’re lucky, you can get some,” bemoaned one resident Shylet Mugadza.
