FOR the first time since taking up coaching in Zimbabwe five years ago Kelvin Kaindu will not finish a season in the top four of the Premier Soccer League.
His current club How Mine sits on position 10 of the PSL log table with two matches to go before end of season.
Kaindu is taking it with a heavy heart but is optimistic of bouncing back stronger next season.
a�?Finishing outside the top four obviously affects me as coach but that is the nature of the game. There areA� ups and downs in football but the most important thing is preparing for next season and coming back stronger,a�? said Kaindu.
The Zambian coach coached Highlanders finishing second behind eventual league title winners Dynamos in 2012 and 2013.
He moved to Triangle United in late 2014 and finished in the top four the following season.
In his debut season at How Mine commanding a top four position has proved toA� be elusive.
Part of Kaindua��s plan to turn around the fortunes of the gold miners is to build a team for the 2017 season around youngsters.
a�?As I have said before the average age in our team is around 29 years and that is not good. We are building a team for next season around youngsters. We have a number of exciting young players like Adolf Muganyi whom we have been giving game time and they are improving with each game,a�? he said.
