HIGHLANDERS are enjoying life under coach Kelvin Kaindu and a strong second half performance powered them to a comfortable 3-0 win over newcomers Chegutu Pirates 3-0 at Barbourfields on Sunday.
Bosso are top of the Castle Lager Premiership standings.
FC Platinum’s game against CAPS United was abandoned, with four minutes remaining, while they were leading 1-0 and they look set to be awarded the match and keep up with Highlanders at the summit.
Life has been comfortable for Kaindu and Highlanders in the opening five matches as they beat Dynamos (2-1), Simba Bhora (1-0), TelOne (2-0) and Chegutu Pirates (3-0) while the 1-1 draw against Bulawayo Chiefs is the only blemish so far.
However, the remaining four matches of April pose a tougher challenge for Kaindu and his Bosso machine as they bid to win the Premiership after previous near-misses under the guidance of the Zambian mentor in his previous spell.
Next for Highlanders is a trip to Baobab where they face stuttering champions Ngezi Platinum in a potential thriller on Saturday.
Bosso will return to Barbourfields for the big Bulawayo Derby against Chicken Inn on April 21 before travelling to Harare for a date with Herentals in a midweek fixture on April 24.
They will see off the month with a home match against CAPS United on April 28.
