HIGHLANDERS and senior national team utility player Bruce Kangwa is set to leave the country on Tuesday for a one-week assessment with Tanzanian club Azam, B-Metro Sport has learnt.
Azam is one of the top three outfits in the Central African country.
Last week, we reported that Bosso had turned down the clubas $15 000 offer.
However, it has emerged through the broker of the pending deal George Deda that the Bulawayo football giants have made a u turn.
a?Iam glad to say Highlanders have received an invitation for Bruce Kangwa to go for an assessment with Azam Football Club of Tanzania. He will be in Tanzania for a week,a? said Deda.
a?He was initially set to leave on Wednesday this week but Bosso through their chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede said they will only release the player next week Tuesday after their games against Mutare City and CAPS United,a? said Deda.
He added that monetary negotiations range from $15 000 to $25 000 as signing on fees per season.
The club is also offering a salary of between $3 000 and $5 000, $500 as winning bonus and a match day allowance of $100.
Deda also revealed that former Warriors captain Method Mwanjali recently joined Tanzanian outfit Simba SC on a lucrative three-year deal after refusing to extend his contract at CAPS United.
At CAPS United, Mwanjali, who is also a Mamelodi Sundowns ex-skipper, was reportedly getting $1 500 as his monthly salary.
Deda also told this publication that young FC Platinum midfield sensation Walter Musona will be joining the Tanzania bandwagon where he set to reunite with Thabani Kamusoko and Donald Ngoma at Young Africans (Yanga).
a?Musona should be leaving late next week to join Young Africans. I can say he will be a happy man,a? said Deda.
FC Platinum and Young Africans seem to have a good working relationship. Last month, the platinum miners released striker Obrey Chirwa to Yanga amid revelations that the deal was worth $120 000.
Meanwhile, Amidu brothers Bret and Abbas are undergoing a trial stint in Germany.
a?These two brothers are in Germany where they are also being assessed. However, if they do not happen to clinch deals, I will take them to Azam Football Club in Tanzania where they are ready to sign them,a? said Deda.
Bret turns out for Dynamos while Abbas is in the books of CAPS United.
