WARRIORS internationals Bruce Kangwa and Francisco Zekumbawire have met with instant success in their short stint with the Tanzania top-flight game with the pair helping their new club Azam to win silverware at the national Stadium in Dar es Salaam yesterday.

Azam overcame rivals Young Africans after penalties to win the Community Shield after the two teams had drawn 2-2 in normal period. Kangwa joined from Bulawayo giants Highlanders last month while Zekumbawire moved from Harare City this month.

The former Highlanders left back was handed a place in the starting XI while rangy forward Zekumbawire sat on the bench. But for players who are barely two months into their stay in Tanzania, Kangwa and Zekumbawire will relish their triumph and will be hoping that it could be start of many more successes to come with their cash rich new club.
