Kante’s dream move

LONDON. — N’golo Kante has hailed his Chelsea move as a dream come true.

Leicester’s English Premier League soccer title hero has moved to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth around £32m, signing a five-year contract.

The 25-year-old was pivotal in the Foxes’ stunning title win last season and was impressive for France at Euro 2016.

Leicester signed him from Caen for just £5.6m last summer and have secured a huge profit on the midfielder.

Kante has hailed new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte as “a brilliant coach” and says the opportunity to play alongside some of world’s top players was “simply too good to turn down”.

He said: “I am so happy to have signed for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. It’s a dream come true for me.

“The opportunity to work with Antonio Conte, a brilliant coach, and some of the best players in the world was simply too good to turn down.

“My first season in English football was very special and now I hope to go on to achieve even more during my time as a Chelsea player. I am looking forward to meeting up with my new team-mates and helping the club achieve a lot of success.”

The 25-year-old becomes the second summer arrival under Conte, the Stamford Bridge outfit confirming signing of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille in a deal worth in excess of £33million. — The Daily Star.
