DYNAMOS midfielder, Donald “Kante” Mudadi said there won’t be any excuses if he fails to use the club’s platform to make a breakthrough to play for a foreign club.
The Glamour Boys welcome Triangle on Sunday at the National Sports Stadium.
Mudadi opened his Dynamos account in their 2-0 win over CAPS United.
He was also involved when Jayden “JB” Bakari doubled their advantage after ‘keeper Tonderai Mateyaunga spilled his effort.
Mudadi has been comfortable on the ball and calm which has seen him form a good combination with Tanaka “Kante” Shandirwa. His positional awareness and movement have turned him into a nightmare for his opponents to contain.
The 26-year-old had average stints with Harare City and Triangle.
“I think I have arrived exactly where I dreamt to be when I started my career.
“It was quite difficult for me to shine at other clubs but I think Dynamos are the highest level which any local player can dream to be.
“It’s really a privilege and a stepping stone in my career and it’s my wish to use this platform as a ladder to foreign leagues,” said Mudadi.
He spent a season in Chiredzi and says it won’t give him any advantage to face his former paymasters. The club’s coach, Herbert “Jompano” Maruwa said he has been emphasising the significance of remaining grounded.
“Our win in the Derby has brought us a big relief after we had failed to win in our previous fixtures heading into this victory.
“But, I have been reminding the boys not to be complacent because it’s very easy to get carried away and it’s something which they need to be reminded of.
“We need to be at our best to get a positive result against Triangle because they have been performing well of late,” said Maruwa.
He added.
“We have a clean bill of health at the moment and everyone is ready for this match.
“I’m happy that one of our new strikers, (Jayden) Bakari, ended his scoring drought and it’s something that I have been appealing to the fans that goals will come and we need their support to trust this project.”
