“This is my way of proving that anything that other artistes do, I can do also. However, this hip-hop style was a one-off thing as I was only helping to draw attention to the talented boy’s music. A follow-up video to “Dai Ndakaziva” will be out soon. People should look out for Mostaff because his music is out of this world,” said Kapfupi.
Mutiwa (23), on the other hand, had nothing but praise for the “Mai Ngaa” hitmaker.
“The track was an instant hit and I applaud Kapfupi for making this project a success. He is very talented and for him to succeed out of his comfort zone only serves to show that anything is possible with him,” he said.
In the same breath, the youthful singer lashed out at established artistes who vow to assist upcoming artistes to the media but change goalposts when approached.
“Seasoned artistes should support such projects. It is sad to note that some of them only promise to help upcoming artistes in front of cameras. However, they turn a blind eye when we approach them for help. Kapfupi, on the other hand, is approachable and does not look down upon struggling artistes,” he said.
Lately, Mutiwa has become a regular performer at different at shows and clubs in and around the capital city. He is known to attract big crowds at clubs like Barca, City Sports Bar and others in Chitungwiza.
He is currently making waves with his debut album titled “Dai Ndakaziva” that carries the title track and hit songs “Kana Wave Joni”, “Sandinyore” and “Unodadisa”
