Karate tourney set for Harare

Takudzwa Chitsiga, Harare Bureau
THE Zimbabwe Karate Union will host the 2015 Karate Champion of Champions tournament at the Home Industries Hall at the Exhibition Park in the capital.

The event will feature both full and semi-contact karate under one roof.

The competition brings down the curtain on the 2015 calendar.

Meanwhile, the ZKU have appointed the Local Organising Committee for the 2016 Zone VI Championships.

Sensei Tich Saizi, Paul Danisa, Eugene Moodey, Chipo Mashingaidze, Blessing Ndoro, Alexander Chishiri, Vee Chibanda and Oren Hove are part of the team.

The ZKU have also set a date and venue for their elective general meeting.

The meeting will be held in Mashonaland Central Province at Tsungubvi Hall in Glendale on the January 30 next year.

The choice of the venue is in line with a resolution made at the 2013 AGM in Kwekwe that the AGM venues should be rotated among the provinces where karate is active.
