It will probably be the first time that the two worlds of Katekwe and Marabi come together to entertain a legion of followers who love the two popular music brands.
The pair is also not new to solo acts with Mtukudzi being a veteran of the acoustic guitar as well as a wizard on the microphone.
Those who follow his music will attest to the fact that Tuku knows his stuff when he performs either solo or with his band, the Black Spirits.
Fans should look forward to some of his hits like “Neria”, “Mutserendede” and a catalogue of other hits from the grandmaster.

It also remains to be seen whether he will also use the same platform to play some songs off his two latest albums, one of which was launched in South Africa recently.
Kireni, on the other hand, also has a strong fan base.
His songs are laden with humour that however, pokes fun at the social foibles that affect people’s lives.
He is known for his whimsical songs like “Mazai Adhimba”, “Mwedzi Unoperereiko”, “Zvekungo-nhonga” and “Vakadzi Vandiwandira” among a host of others that leave people in stitches everytime he performs.
Kireni is riding high with his latest album “Vhura Chivharo” which he is also going to sample at the show.
Show organiser and owner of the joint, Josh Hozheri, said the idea was to give solo music lovers a treat while at the same making the concert a precursor to the Winter Jazz Festival that kicks off in Harare on July 21.
“People are so much in love with solo shows because this is the platform that they have to get up close with their favourite musicians.
“This time around we have decided to fuse Katekwe music represented by Oliver Mtukudzi with Marabi Music by Kireni Zulu since the two are exponents of the acoustic guitars.
“It (the solo show) is also acting a precursor to the Winter Jazz Festival that will run from Thursday July 21 to Sunday July 24 at Jazz 105 and City Sports Centre,” Hozheri said.
The four-day Winter Jazz Festival will see the likes of Tuku, Suluman Chimbetu, Winky D, Victor Kunonga, Dino Mudondo, Bob Nyabinde, Diana Samkange, Summer Breeze, Mbare Trio, Jazz Invitation, Munya
Mataruse, Willom Tight, Jah Prayzah and Jayz Marabini, among others, taking part.
