that Kaulback is out of the Spar Zimbabwe International Sevens rugby tournament set for Harare Sports Club on March 9 and the Hong Kong leg of the World Series at the end of March.
It was during a Cheetahs training session that Kaulback broke his leg in a tackle situation with Sevens forward Fortune Chipendu and he was taken to hospital where his injury was assessed to be serious.
Not only was Kaulback seriously injured but had to be operated on with the medical practitioners saying he needs about six months to recover from the accidental physical body damage. With the World Cup set to take place in June in Russia, Kaulback can only hope he will get better in time for squad selection.
“The doctors told me I will be out for up to six months because it was quite a serious injury and there’s nothing I can do about it but I have to keep positive and train where I can. I got up to six months out of the game but it could be a shorter period depending on how well I recover but it is going to be a long set-back because I am going to miss on some tournaments.
“I broke my leg during a training session in a collision but injuries are part of the game and I just have to accept it and work hard in making sure I get back a better player.”
