Kavango Resources plc has reported further strong assay results from its ongoing drilling programme at the Bill’s Luck Gold Mine in Filabusi, Matabeleland South Province, highlighting the site’s potential to become a larger-scale gold producer.

The Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX)-listed company announced on Monday that it had intercepted 8,09 grammes per tonne (g/t) of gold over 8,05 metres in hole BLDD010, one of two recently completed diamond drill holes at the Hillside Project.

The results are part of a multiphase campaign aimed at defining a maiden mineral resource estimate to underpin future mine planning.

“Surface diamond drilling at Bill’s Luck continues to exceed our expectations,” said Ben Turney, chief executive of Kavango Resources.

“We have now confirmed that the main Bill’s Luck ore body continues to at least 160 metres vertical depth, with multiple high-grade gold intersections throughout the latest two exploration holes.”

The two new holes, BLDD009 and BLDD010, both intersected the mine’s Main Reef at vertical depths of 109 metres and 146 metres, respectively.

Kavango said the results not only confirmed the continuity of the reef but also revealed a parallel mineralised structure, alongside additional reefs in the hanging wall and footwall.

BLDD009 returned a highlight of 13,66g/t over 2,75 metres from 134 metres, including higher-grade pockets of 46,72g/t and 24,67g/t over half-metre intervals.

It also yielded 5,10g/t over 2,18 metres from 28 metres depth and 7,87g/t over 2,60 metres at 209.80 metres.

BLDD010 reported the standout 8,09g/t over 8,05 metres from 158,62 metres, with internal grades reaching 33,76g/t over one metre and 30,60g/t over 0,42 metres.
