Kelly Khumalo’s new single Asine, is the talk of the town after her performance on Robert Marawa’s show was repeated last night. The song Kelly Khumalo performed on Robert Marawa’s TNL show “Asine” during Senzo Meyiwa’s last sport interview has sparked social media conversation after its meaning was explained.

Before taking on stage to sing, her baby daddy Meyiwa introduced the song with a smile.

The Venda written song Asine translates as – “It’s not me”.

According to many who understand the song it’s said that she is crying out to the police in defence that she did not kill her husband, it was not her. The show was repeated last night in memory of the Bafana Bafana’s Captain who was shot dead Sunday evening at his girlfriends place.

Five days before the incident, Khumalo took a video of her man singing to instagram and captioned it saying: “Bhakabhaka on #AsineFEVER this has got to be the sweetest thing ever! – Sowetan.
