FORMER Highlanders head coach Kelvin Kaindu has joined Triangle as the side’s technical adviser.
The coach has been roped in to save the team from relegation and will supervise Biggie Zuze.
Zuze will remain the head coach but he will be reporting to Kaindu, and yesterday the former Bosso gaffer who left the Bulawayo giants by mutual consent sat it out at the VIP stand as Triangle clashed with Caps United at Gibbo Stadium.
He has a tough task at hand to steady the ship in his side’s last four matches. And they are set to take on Chicken Inn, Chiredzi FC, Hwange and Shabanie Mine.
Media-shy Triangle chairman Lovemore Matikinyidze could not divulge much on the matter saying that they will do so so through a press statement.
“If we’ve anything to communicate with you we’ll do it through a press statement. We take normal procedures and that’s what we’ll be doing. Kaindu is here and even Sunday Chidzambwa so we can just say Triangle has visitors,” he said.
Sources confirmed the new development saying that Zuze has failed to steer the team to the Promised Land.
“The executive saw it befitting to hire Kaindu as the technical adviser because they had lost faith in Zuze. People are just fearing that they might be relegated with all the resources at their disposal,” he said.
“But at least he still has his job and all the assistants will remain with their posts,” he added.
Zuze however brought smiles to the Lowveld after winning the OneWallet Cup recently when they defeated Dynamos in the final.
