CASTLE Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) chief executive officer Kennedy Ndebele has resigned from his position effective Friday.
Ndebele is a candidate for the Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) vice presidency alongside ex Zifa vice president Omega Sibanda, Highlanders board member Peter Dube, James Simbarashe Takavada and Francis Nyamutsamba for the men’s vice president post, while Mavis Gumbo, Patience Mutumwa, Winnet Murota, Joyce Kapota and Loveness Mukura will square up for the women’s vice president slot.
The elections are set to be held in Harare on Saturday.
In a statement, PSL communications and media liaison officer Kudzai Bare wrote:
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Ndebele for his outstanding leadership and dedicated service to the PSL. His contributions were crucial in driving the league growth and achieving its success”
Rodwell Thabe, who was the league’s marketing officer, has assumed the role of acting chief executive officer.
