Kenyan shilling firm on diaspora remittances

The Kenyan shilling was firm on Monday with inflows from diaspora remittances meeting dollar demand from merchant importers and the energy sector, traders said.

At 0740 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 101.50/70 per dollar, compared with 101.60/80 at Friday’s close. – Reuters Africa
