WARRIORS returnee and poster boy, Khama Billiat, is confident that they are going to get a positive result against Kenya in a 2025 Afcon qualifier that will be played at South Africa’s Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday.
Needing at least a draw, the Warriors will take to the stadium with their tails up all in a bid to get another dance in the Africa’s football extravaganza, a feat that was first achieved in 2004 under the captaincy of legendary Peter Ndlovu and guidance of Sunday Chidzambwa.

“It’s a very important game and we are under a situation that we can control. We know what is at stake for us.
“We know very well that it’s the most important game for us,” said the former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star player.
He added: “It’s a must win but we will have to concentrate. We will try to be good on our day. It’s a very important game for us. We will fight till the end.”
The Warriors go into the match seeking at least a draw against their opponents.
Under the guidance of German national Michael Nees, the Warriors have been on song and the Zifa Normalisation Committee (NC) has paid tribute to him for good results so far.

Nees also said the clash with Kenya is a big one and that they will give it their all to get maximum points.
“We will need to give our maximum effort on Friday. We need to get a result that we need before we celebrate. It all needs a collective effort before we go and face Cameroon,” said Nees.
Captained by England based Marvelous Nakamba, the Warriors are coming from back-to-back wins against Namibia, a development that saw NC chairman Lincoln Mutasa express his happiness about their performance.

“We have high hopes for his (Nees) tenure, and we’re already seeing his impact.
“He has even managed to convince some former national team players to return from retirement. We are confident our Warriors are in capable and inspiring hands under his leadership,” said Mutasa.
