Khumbula triumphs in Heroes Pool Tournament

Maradona Khumbula won the first Heroes Pool Tournament men’s category while Flatta Moyo scooped the women’s title at Shumba Bar over the weekend.
More than 150 players took part in the men’s main event and only eleven women participated.Khumbula of Gold and Black won the men’s category and went home $200  richer.

Paul Mutizo came second and received $120 prize money while Brian Dziko came third and pocketed $70.
Moyo walked away with $30 for winning the women’s category while Petronella Sibanda got $20 for coming second.

Shumba Bar owner and sponsor of the first tournament Nomalanga Dursat came third and got $10.
Dursart expressed satisfaction with the turnout and said the competition was of very high level.

“The event was successful, we had a good turnout considering it’s a holiday and the level of competition was very high as well,” said Dursart.
The second Heroes’ tournament will be played today, at Max Tshisa Nyama.

In an interview yesterday Dursart promised Moyo a strong run for her money as she wants to challenge for the first prize in today’s final.
In today’s competition, the first prize in the men’s category is $200, second is $120 while third is $70.
