YOU could call him one of the most versatile musicians to ever emerge from the City of Kings. He has produced and released house, kwaito and afro pop music, which has seen him remaining relevant in the music industry over the years.
However, in spite of his versatility, Khulekani Bethule, warmly known as Khuxman, a few weeks ago was involved in a Facebook spat with fans and media personnel, after posting a comment about how he was frustrated with waiting for his latest music video to be completed.
“I have been patiently waiting for my video from last year but it seems the video person is not interested in completing it… maybe I have to look for money for a re-shoot,” he wrote.
Soon after posting that he was ambushed with a barrage of comments from fans and media personnel, some of whom sympathising, while others were not as kind. After a series of questions from concerned fans he responded:
“Kukhanya iyehlula. I have to work on another one!”
To which some advised him not make his issues public but deal with them privately.
“Leyi asikhohlweni ngayo bafethu. (Let’s forget about this one guys) I’m now working on another one.
Soon after that one Bhekumusa Moyo responded:
“Can you tell us what you initially agreed with the video person first before you rant, as if there is a hidden contract, which he defaulted or had to add an addendum secretly. If he is defaulting on contract (which I feel is not there) or now failing to deliver (which I doubt is the case) please either report to the police or claim your refund if you paid anything (which I feel was not enough). Thank you.”
Khuxxman then responded, “Iyangidelela lek***. (This sh** is disrespecting me)
Ernest Masongela, “So unprofessional.”
Mdue DJ-Clicks Da Funk: “That’s why Channel O never bothers about Zim.”
Innocent Mabaleka: “Take legal steps.”
Bhekumusa Moyo: “Khux calling me k*** is such a low, uyazehlisa, yikho everyday uhlala ukhala, what message are you sending to the growing ones uhlala ukhala njalo nje. Yeka ngihleke mina kwaaaaaaaaaaaaa”
Khulekani Bethule: “Thanks for the comment sir!”
