Dancehall musician Kelvin Kusikwenyu popularly known as Killer T is out to prove a point about his stage act this Thursday when he stages a farewell show at City Sports Bar in the capital ahead of his tour in South Africa. Some critics have said the musician has not been giving his best at live performances despite being the dancehall musician of the moment. He is set to share the stage with Bev and DJ Cables at the show where he has to prove that he is good on stage and in the studio.
His manager Brain Muturikwa said they were geared for the show as they bid farewell to their fans. “We are more than ready and those who have doubted his ability on stage must come and see for themselves,” he said. Muturikwa said the musician has a number of new songs he will be sampling at the event.
“We have a number of singles that we will be releasing this year. People should be ready for that as we sample them at City Sports Bar,” he said. The musician released an album that has been rated the best in Zimdancehall this year. “This is the festive season and it is homework of each and every artist to make sure that music lovers are spoiled with new material,” he said.
Though some other musicians like Winky D and Tocky Vibes have released entertaining songs Killer T’s album “Ngoma Ndaimba” is topping the charts. Killer T is undoubtedly the chairman of Zimdancehall as his music has cut across all genres. He has managed to sing messages that have been received by people from all walks of life. Event organiser Yasini Dala said they were geared up for the event.
Dala said it was one of the big shows since the venue was upgraded into an upper class bar. “The response has been overwhelming since the adverts of the shows. We hope people will enjoy since the bar is now one of the best in town,” he said.
