Killer T, Trevor D in Kariba

Dancehall chanter Killer T will tomorrow clash with urban grooves musician Trevor Dongo at Moth Camp in Kariba. Dubbed “Zim dancehall versus urban grooves”, the family show is expected to thrill both dancehall and urban grooves fans. In an interview Trevor D, as Dongo is popularly known said he is looking forward to a big day. “We are promising fireworks and a day filled with fun to all our fans in Kariba. We are urging them to come in numbers to support local music,” he said.
On the other hand, Killer T who is arguably one of the best dancehall chanters has also promised an explosive act.

Show promoter Shawn Mahachi said he has decided to bring two genres together so that they will cater for both dancehall and urban grooves fans.
“Everyone can admit that Zim dancehall is the in thing now when it comes to local music but this does not mean that urban grooves is no longer wanted. So we want to have both the dancehall and urban grooves in the house,

“Since it is a family show we are looking forward to music for different age groups ,” he said.
The two artistes will share the stage with upcoming dancehall chanters from Kariba including Quilzy, Ekodem, Empsims and Pantex.

Meanwhile, Trevor D who is releasing his fourth album “Two Steps to Go” today said he is very happy that he his album is finally out after a long time.
“I have last released my third album ‘First Verse’ in 2002 and this had triggered an outcry from my fans since it has been 12 years without a release. I am excited. It has been a long wait but trust me, this project is worth the wait,” he said.
