KLOSAD Clinical Diagnostics Lab says it is still operating as its lawyers are contesting a move by authorities to temporarily suspend its operations.

Lawyers representing Klosad have written to the Health Practitioners Authority challenging the closure of their laboratory.

In a statement, Klosad’s lawyers said the lab will remain open pending finalisation of the matter.

“We write to advise you that your letter and the purported action which you have taken against our client is not in accordance with the law and so your action was ill-advised and is therefore of no force or effect,” reads the letter.

“We have accordingly advised our client not to give effect to your directive to cease operations.”
