Kombi driver faces attempted murder charge

Tshuma facing allegations of attempted murder or alternatively reckless driving.
Mhlanga, who was not formally charged, was remanded in custody to June 15.
He was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
Prosecutor Ms Elaine Mokora alleges that on May 30, at the corner of Angwa Street and South Avenue, Mhlanga who was driving a Toyota Hiace was stopped by police carrying out an operation. He is said to have initially complied and stopped.
He is, however, alleged to have driven off at high speed towards the cop who was still standing in front of his vehicle.
She jumped aside but she was hit on her right leg and sustained a fractured foot.
The State says the traffic cop’s colleagues arrested Mhlanga after a chase.
