A WOMAN almost lost her life after she fell from a moving kombi during an altercation with the driver over her 50 cents change.

The incident happened on October 2 at Chikwanha Market in Chitungwiza.

Munyaradzi Mapete, the kombi driver, moved the vehicle while Cynthia Guveya was still standing by the door side.

There had been a row over change.

Mapete appeared at the Chitungwiza Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded out of custody to December 18 for trial.

He is facing attempted murder charges.

The State alleges that on October 2, at around 7pm, Cynthia had a misunderstanding with Mapete over change, which was 50 cents.

Cynthia was standing near the door, which was open, when Mapete put the kombi into motion and she fell out of the moving car.

She suffered some injuries on the head and back and bruises on her face.

Some Good Samaritans rushed her to the nearest police station to file a complaint.

She lost her mobile phone.
