CHICKEN INN appear to have hit the reset button on their faltering Castle Lager Premier Soccer League campaign, starting with a major reshuffle in their technical department.
First assistant coach Fungai “Tostao” Kwashi has been re-assigned to take charge of the club’s ZIFA Bulawayo Province Division Two side, in what insiders suggest may be the start of broader changes.
Kwashi, who joined the Gamecocks last year from CAPS United following the departure of Prince Matore, was absent from the bench during Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat to GreenFuel.
Chicken Inn head coach Joey Antipas was tight-lipped when asked why Kwashi was not part of the technical bench against GreenFuel.
“I think you will have to speak to the club’s executive with regards to that,” said Antipas.
Club secretary general Tavengwa Hara would neither confirm nor deny the shake-up when contacted for comment.
“The club will soon come out with a statement with regards to any structural adjustments happening at the team from the junior to senior teams,” he said.
