KWEKWE entrepreneur, Thakor Partel, has called on the business community to take advantage of the opportunities created by President Mnangagwa.
Speaking during a business meeting at King Solomon Hotel, in Kwekwe, on Friday, Partel urged fellow business people to stop complaining about the challenges they were facing but to focus on the opportunities presented to them by the Government.
“Let us take advantage of the opportunities that have been created by His Excellency, let us see what the challenges are and what we can do to improve our businesses.
“The opportunities are enormous and this is the first time, since Independence, that the market is open to everyone.
“You need to take advantage and do not complain about our challenges but we should face the challenges and find solutions and move forward,” said Partel.
He praised President Mnangagwa and the new dispensation for the strides they have made since 2018.
“Despite the difficulties, food has been provided to all the people, the President has made sure that everybody receives food, unfortunately, he cannot control the rainfall.
“His Excellency promised to work towards food security of the continent, not only Zimbabwe, but the whole continent and this is a sign of visionary leadership, a sign of true leadership, a sign of selfless leadership and, as the citizens of the country, we need to appreciate.”
The businessman urged Zimbabweans to be patriotic for the development of the country’s economy.
“As a united people, we will progress, let us all be patriotic and not demonise the country, let us work together in harmony and unity, “ he said.
