THE National Darts Association of Zimbabwe (Ndaz) will hold their 2014 Champion of Champions tournament at the Munyati Power Station near Kwekwe on February 28.
“The Champion of Champions tournament will be held at the Munyati Power Station starting from February 27 to 28,” said Ndaz secretary-general Stephen Mwandira.
He said the tournament will pit 16 teams from eight provinces in the country.
“The tournament is for the top two teams from all the eight provinces affiliated to Ndaz,” he said.
Mwandira said the eligible players in the tournament will be those registered with their teams and Ndaz in the 2014 season.
“Players who’re eligible to participate in the tournament are those who were with their respective teams in the 2014 darts season, those who’ve just joined the teams for this year will not be allowed to play.
“Players’ names and clubs’ records should tally with what’s in the provincial and national databases,” he said.
Mwandira said the tournament will be played in a knockout format.
“The tournament will be a knockout format with eight teams getting knocked out in the first round, four in the second round, two in the semi-finals,” he said.
Mwandira emphasised the importance of the teams abiding by the tournament regulations.
