THE Zimbabwe senior women’s cricket team take on Thailand women in a must-win second One Day International in order to keep the series alive in Bangkok this morning.
Thailand went 1-0 up in the series courtesy of a 78-run win on Wednesday.
Another defeat for Zimbabwe in today’s encounter will give the hosts a 2-0 lead and effectively the series rendering the last ODI only of academic interest.
Lady Chevrons coach, Gary Brent, is aware of the consequences of another defeat in today’s game.
“We just didn’t play well, we played particularly poorly. I mean the bowlers bowled well in patches and nothing to do with the toss really,” he said.
Kelis Ndhlovu took a fiver in vain.
