ZIMBABWE Women have won the toss and elected to bowl first against New Zealand Women in the first T20I at Seddon Park, Hamilton.

The hosts have had a strong start so far and are 89/1 at the halfway mark.

This series marks not only the first-ever bilateral meeting between the two nations, but Zimbabwe’s debut appearance in the ICC Women’s Championship cycle, a significant step forward for the Lady Chevrons.

After earning their place in the expanded 11-team ICC Women’s Championship in November 2024, the Lady Chevrons are finally ready to test themselves against one of the world’s established powerhouses on their home soil.
