with a sexually transmitted disease.
Joyce Mugwira of Chitungwiza was not asked to plead when she appeared before magistrate Ms Olivia Mariga, who remanded her out of custody to October 19.
Prosecutor, Mr Luke Mutupe, alleged that Mugwira used to visit the boy’s place to do her cooking since electricity at her place was switched off.
He said that on April 13 this year, the boy was alone when Mugwira visited since his parents had gone to work. Mugwira asked the boy to switch on the stove while she took the chance to lock the door and started playing pornographic material.
Mugwira went on to remove her skirt and pants and pushed the boy onto the sofa. She sat next to the boy and forced him to fondle her breasts. Mugwira then fondled the boy’s male organ and became intimate with him.
Mr Mutupe said Mugwira visited the next day and had sex with the boy for the second time.
The offence came to light when a neighbour became suspicious and informed the boy’s mother, who assaulted him and he revealed the matter.
A report was made to the police leading to the arrest of Mugwira and she and the boy were referred to hospital for medical examination.
