Lampard leaves Chelsea

LONDON. — Frank Lampard has agreed a free transfer to New York City — and Atletico Madrid marksman David Villa is set to join him.
The highly-decorated ex-Chelsea midfielder and the Spanish title-winning striker were at Manchester City’s Carrington complex on Saturday to complete the internal formalities of their respective moves. Meanwhile, Arsenal have reportedly agreed personal terms with want-away QPR forward Loic Remy. Remy had been on Liverpool and Tottenham’s radar but it looks like the Gunners have struck an early blow in their attempt to sign the Frenchman. — The Mirror/Metro-Sky Sports.
