In response to our article that appeared yesterday, Mr Zvandasara said he had not received any summons and maintains that his union and its beneficiaries are the legal owners of the land in question.
“I am not aware of any issue involving stands. All I know is that Nyasha Chikwinya tried to displace us in another court case like this one and she lost it at the High Court,” Mr Zvandasara said.
“It was ruled that people have no legal right to the land as they do not have any title deeds to it. This is state land that was allocated to cooperatives.
“So far we have allocated over 1000 stands and our members have already started building homes.
This land wrangle comes at a time when scores of people were duped at Caledonia Farm near Mabvuku by bogus housing co-operatives who invaded the area.
