ZANU-PF National Assembly candidate for Insiza North constituency Cde Andrew Langa has urged the electorate to vote for leaders who will deliver as opposed to those who were using money to buy their way into office. Addressing scores of party supporters at Kombo Clinic in Insiza North on Sunday, Cde Langa said by voting wisely, the electorate would be guaranteed long term benefits.
“Do not waste your vote by voting for those buying you beer,  bread, sugar and other small things because these are short term gains that do not sustain you. His Excellency, President Mugabe gave us land, a valuable asset that will remain valid for generations to come.
“Vote for land, indigenisation, mineral wealth and black empowerment,” said Cde Langa.

He said the harmonised elections gave the people an opportunity to once again defend their sovereignty against imperialists that wanted to return hiding behind local political parties.

“We have an obligation to defend our sovereignty, our land, ubuntu and your conscience, umzwangedwa,” said Cde Langa.
He also urged the youths to protect what the gallant sons and daughters of Zimbabwe sacrificed their lives for when they took up arms to fight the settler regime.

“Most of you especially the youths should appreciate that heroes and heroines sacrificed their lives so that you could be empowered through owning means of production such as land.

Vote for leaders with liberation struggle credentials who know the value of land ownership by the blacks. Vote for land,” he said.
Cde Langa has been a Member of Parliament since 2002 when he won a by-election following the death of Cde George Joe Ndlovu of MDC.
Over the years he has easily defended his constituency with analysts attributing the development to the fact that he lives among his people as he spends most of his time in Filabusi.
