FORMER Highlanders head coach Kelvin Kaindu is reported to have been involved in a car accident in Zvishavane on his way to Bulawayo this morning.

Attempts to interview Kaindu proved to be abortive as he was not answering his mobile phone.

However in separate interviews Triangle officials and Kaindu’s close friends, who all refused to be named, confirmed the car crash.

Kaindu is said to have escaped unhurt. He was ferried to Zvishavane Hospital for a checkup as the medical personnel who attended him at the scene feared that he had suffered internal injuries.

The car he was driving was not as fortunate as it was badly damaged.

The police media department could not confirm the accident as the report was yet to be made available to them.
