Latest on Khedira

LONDON. — Sami Khedira is nearing a move to the English Premier League after reports claim that his agent is set to fly to London today to negotiate deals with Arsenal and Chelsea. The Real Madrid midfielder has one year left on his current deal with Los Blancos, and has been linked with a move to The Gunners, The Blues and German champions Bayern Munich this summer.

With his future in Spain uncertain, The Sunday Mirror have now claimed that Khedira wants to quit Real after holding unsuccessful talks with coach Carlo Ancelotti.

It is believed that Khedira’s agent spoke with Bayern’s representatives after the player confirmed his intentions to leave Los Blancos, and will now fly to London in the coming days to thrash out deals with Arsenal and Chelsea. The Germany World Cup winner could be available for about £12m with reports claiming that Chelsea are in pole position to land the midfielder – despite Arsenal having been linked with Khedira all summer. — Metro
