LATEST: Parly moves Kasukuwere, Kuwaza contempt reports

Parliamentary committees have moved reports in the National Assembly charging with contempt of the legislature, Local Government, Public Works and National Housing Minister Saviour Kasukuwere and chairperson of the State Procurement Board Mr Charles Kuwaza. The committee on Youth, Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment chaired by Zanu-PF MP for Gokwe-Nembudziya Cde Justice Mayor Wadyajena accused Minister Kasukuwere of intimidating the committee by making threats against the chairperson.

Mines and Energy chairperson Cde Lovemore Matuke also accused Mr Kuwaza of disrespecting the committee and refusing to provide requested information.

They made the reports in the National Assembly this afternoon.

National Assembly Speaker Advocate Jacob Mudenda said he would study the reports and make a ruling soon.
