LATEST: Six succumb to Covid-19

ZIMBABWE recorded six deaths and 151 new Covid-19 cases yesterday which brings the total number of active cases to 2 923.

The deaths were recorded in Bulawayo, Mashonaland East and Mashonaland West provinces.

Statistics from the Ministry of Health and Child Care show that in the last 24 hours, 156 of the infected people are hospitalised in different institutions across the country.

“We recorded 151 new cases, all locals and six deaths in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate was at 12,7 percent and the recovery rate stands at 89 percent,” read the Ministry.

“As at 20 June 2021, Zimbabwe had 41 779 confirmed cases, including 37 184 recoveries and 1 672 deaths. To date, a total of 703 065 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19.”
