Sources, however, indicated that the list includes Harare deputy mayor Clr Emmanuel Chiroto, Gweru mayor Tedious Chimombe and councillors Mr Peter Marange and Mr Exevia Vengesayi from Harare.
“We are not the State, we are a politi­cal party and the only way we deal with them as a political party is that we expell them. There are a few bad apples that are tarnishing the good work done by others. We are sending a clear message that we have zero toler­ance to corruption,” he said.
He added: “We do not have any pros­ecuting power, but I am sure the rele­vant committees will follow up on this.”
The councillors were dismissed after being implicated in corrupt activities.
