LCD bottle opener tells number of beers one has had

Instead, their bottle opener will keep count with merciless efficiency — and reveal to partners exactly how many bottles ‘a couple’ might be.
An LCD display on the Beer Tracker shows off exactly how many bottles have been opened during a raucous night.

The battery-powered plastic bottle opener has a digital counter in the handle which tots up exactly how many beers have been opened during an evening’s festivities.
The five-inch, £4.95 device can be reset the morning after, and works on a battery built into the handle.
It is, Amazon says, “A brilliant gift for the competitive drinker.”

The counter links to an LED display in the handle and counts how many times a user has opened a beer in one evening.
The counter ‘times out’ after 15 seconds to save batteries.

“It also keeps track of the number of bottles you’ve opened in a session. Think of it as the alcoholic equivalent of a mileometer and it’ll see if you can go the distance,” said creator Urban Gifts.

“And then, the morning after, it’ll give you a full and frank account of your drinking prowess in glorious black and white. Assuming you can focus, that is,” said Urban Gifts. — Daily Mail.
