THE Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) has taken the legal route in a bid to stop the use of their late founder, TB Joshua’s picture on billboards promoting an upcoming crusade in Zimbabwe.
Roadmap to Jesus International Ministries erected billboards in Harare and Gweru featuring the name of preacher Prophet Godstime Adah, together with a photograph of TB Joshua.
SCOAN coordinator Violet Masuku said SCOAN was not consulted before the billboards were erected.
“As the SCOAN coordinator, I was not informed about this billboard,” she said, adding that SCOAN’s head office was also unaware of the advertising.
Masuku said she confronted the organisers and they did not reach an agreement as a representative of the organisers allegedly got angry during the engagement.
As a result of the impasse, SCOAN are proceeding with legal action. She stated that SCOAN is not opposing the crusade itself but is calling for the organisers to remove TB Joshua’s photograph.
Some members of the public have begun to register for prayer sessions connected to the crusade at a local school in Harare.
According to reports, charges for one-on-one sessions are being set at US$300 for couples, with singles reportedly offered at half price.
