Let the rains come

GREETINGS, beloved nation. Scripture Reference: 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

When we speak of healing, we’re referring to an entity that was once healthy — implying that the land can also become sick. Anything that can fall ill is a living entity, capable of receiving instructions. From the scriptures, we understand that the earth is a living organism, it can hear, produce and respond to commands.

In Genesis 1, after God created everything, He saw that it was good. However, when the first Adam fell, creation also fell with him. Remember, Jesus said, “In the beginning it was not so,” indicating that creation was obedient to man before the fall.

When the second Adam—Jesus—came, He came to restore what was lost through the fall. This redemption work was designed to reclaim what had been manipulated by the powers of witchcraft and demonic influence. One major factor contributing to creation’s sickness is the sin of the land itself.

Creation was originally created to bless humanity and serve the purposes of God. As stated in Deuteronomy 4:19, when Israel was warned against idolatry, they were told:

“And when you look up into the sky and see the sun, moon and stars — all the forces of Heaven — don’t be seduced into worshipping them. The LORD your God gave them to all the peoples of the earth.”

These heavenly bodies were given to us as an inheritance — resources meant to benefit us. Understanding this — is crucial, because it reveals what causes the land to become sick and how this sickness affects God’s people.

Creation can be manipulated to work against God’s plans and purposes in our lives. Therefore, when we pray for rain, we must understand God’s divine system for releasing it. According to Psalms 115:16, “The Heaven, even the Heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.”

Hosea 2:21-22 (NLT) explains this divine exchange: “In that day, I will answer, says the Lord. I will answer the sky as it pleads for clouds. And the sky will answer the earth with rain. Then the earth will answer the thirsty cries of the grain, the grapevines and the olive trees. And they in turn will answer, ‘Jezreel’—‘God plants!”

This illustrates the order of divine interactions — creation cries out and Heaven responds.
Similarly, Zechariah 10:1 urges us: “Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone.”

The divine principle is simple: We are instructed to ask for rain. It is the responsibility of God’s people to invoke His blessing through prayer. Rain is meant to arrive at its appointed time but often demonic forces block its coming.

As the body of Christ — who have been given authority — we are called to open these spiritual doors. Romans 8:19, 21 declares: “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God… because creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”

It is our season to manifest our authority and decree: “Let there be rain!”
Let the Heavens answer with abundant rains over our nation. We prophesy that this year’s rains will come in full measure. May November be covered with showers — blessing our land in the name of Jesus.

I invite you now to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. Believe in your heart, confess with your mouth that He is Lord and you shall be saved. May God bless you all!
