MARRIAGE counsellor and philanthropist, Apostle Desmond Parirewa, has urged fellow preachers to promote the gospel of peace.
Apostle Parirewa, who leads Fresh Fire Ministries, told H-Metro that it was important for the church to take a leading role in the promotion of peace building in the country.
“As a church, it is our duty and obligation to teach members of our flocks to shun violence.
“Violence must not have a place in our society. Let us all embrace peace and harmony,” he said.
Apostle Parirewa commended President Mnangagwa for emphasising on the importance of peace in the country.
“The President has time and again spoken on the importance of peace and it is now left to the general populace to embrace the peace refrain,” he said.
He said peace is the cornerstone for the growth and development of any country, and urged the youths to embrace peace for national development.
“The youths are the leaders of tomorrow and it is very important for them to be champions of peace building.
“If peace is prevails, then love reigns; love conquers and love lives within us.
“Peace is a crucial element for us to live in harmony, to live a good life and also for development,” he said.
