CONTROVERSIAL Facebook influencer, Vimbai Tanyanyiwa, is under fire over a Facebook post in which she allegedly insulted another influencer, Pride Miti.

Vimbai was hauled to court yesterday (under CRB 120312) but didn’t appear before a magistrate after prosecution referred the case back to police for further investigations.

H-Metro is reliably informed that Vimbai is in possession of proof that the claims she posted are true and she would provide proof to the police.

The police are also supposed to investigate if she is the owner of the Facebook account that bears her name.

Pride claims that on October 25, during a discussion about his former employer, African Business Women Association (ABWA), Vimbai posted on Facebook in apparent reference to him as the company’s former accountant.

It is alleged part of the post read “ . . . he stole zvinosemesa kwete mbijana. I just shared a little information. Investors ngavasungise CEO & accountant cause their assets alone of (US)$1 million can be recovered.”

She allegedly also posted on November 6 accusing Pride of having a hand in the US$1 million scandal that rocked ABWA.

“Then her (company owner Shamiso Fred) accountant Pride bought himself a house, installed solar, bought cars for himself and his wife, opened businesses, but both her and Shami are accusing an innocent person to cover their tracks.”

IT technician at ABWA, Kundai Charlse Mahachi, is currently in custody accused of defrauding the organisation of US$1 million.

Allegations are that Mahachi defrauded the company by hacking the system and diverting 300 contract payments the company was servicing to his own use.

After noticing the anomaly, Fred inquired about the issue from Mahachi, and he failed to provide a satisfactory answer. This raised suspicion promoting an internal audit, which revealed that over US$1 million had been stolen.
