remarks by Apostle Sibiya of Glory Ministries, during an address at the much hyped “Let’s talk about sex babe” seminar for youths.
It was indeed a nerve-wracking experience that proved to be worth every second as many young people from different denominations thronged the Bethel Church in Chitungwiza for some serious talk on sex issues with the man of the cloth.
During his lecture, the apostle tactfully tackled sensitive issues that affect the youths in their day-to-day lives much to the amusement of the audience who could not believe that a man of God could know such things.
“Sex is good only if you are wearing your partner’s wedding ring!” said the youthful Apostle.
““Sex is not the problem but people perish because they lack knowledge. The apostle likened sex to a fire that is good while it is in the confinement of the fireplace. While in the cold winters, the fire provides warmth to the family and no one complains about it. Fire is good as long as it is restricted to its rightful place and that is a fireplace. Sex belongs in the confines of marriage,” he declared.
It was unbelievable and a bit uncomfortable at first but because of his boldness and his real life examples the young people slowly warmed up to his message.
A lot of young people can relate to instances where adults talk down upon them “demanding” that we abstain from sex but the apostle’s concept was friendlier.
He successfully bridged the gap as he spoke of all things of this world being created by God and was therefore good.
“Marijuana is good and people in the hair industry know that if mixed with hair food it makes the hair grow. If one does not know the purposes God’s creations then abuse is inevitable. Marijuana can only be bad if one smokes it but is good for the hair,” he said.
Apostle Sibiya also blasted homosexuality stating that it was also an example of people who do not understand the use of things.
He highlighted his road as a young Christian who had to go through the same struggle of abstaining and waiting for marriage.
“The youths are bombarded because they are said to be impossible. It is not everyone who understands how difficult life is when one is young as some think youths have it easy. They face everyday temptations of fighting against the devil and their bodies too,” he said.
Young people need the real talk about sex before they end up “getting burnt” by the fire that is supposed to be warm and good.
The man of the cloth who admitted to being a “mighty sinner” before he was anointed by the Holy Spirit shared how he made his bold decision to wait for almost a decade until he lawfully wedded his wife. During that time he never laid a finger on her even though he wanted to.
“Of course, it was not easy because even men of God are human and have hormones like everyone else. They are not immune to such things but to this day I can testify that it was worth the wait,” he said.
He highlighted that young people have the strength but at times lack wisdom at times. He therefore called for the need to tame them because them as a way of laying a solid foundation. They need to be taught at an early age because like the old adage goes, the foolishness of a person starts in infancy.
“The first 25 years of a person’s life determines one’s future and therefore the need to prepare now. One should not only live for the moment because one might ruin their lives,” he concluded.
