EDITOR – Mr Ndavaningi Nick Mangwana’s appointment as the Permanent Secretary of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services is a welcome development.
Given where the world is headed, it is key for the ministry to have someone who readily adapts to new ideas.
He also has been through his famous Twitter handle speaking of reforms and changes that need be effected in our media, showing that he is well versed in the issues related to the industry.
The fact that he is well travelled and has lived in the diaspora for a while means he is exposed to some of the best practices in global media.
Considering the way he has respectfully engaged in debates over the years, even in the face of vitriol, it shows that he is a level-headed individual.
We need more Zimbabweans to return home to serve their country.
