LG Vultures will be eager to return to winning ways when they take on lowly East Rovers and Lobengula Stars in the Zifa Bulawayo Province Division Two league encounters set for Saturday and Sunday.
The Saturday match will take place at the outside grounds of Barbourfields Stadium, while on Sunday they will travel to Lobengula.
LG Vultures were held to a shock 0-0 draw against Khami United last weekend, a result that prevented them from shooting to second on the league table.
With a game in hand, LG Vulture, who are owned by city businessman Lawrence Gwati, can end the first half of the season in a very comfortable position heading into the home stretch.
They sit on 26 points, the same as second-placed Chiwororo, but four points behind unbeaten Zim Leopards, who sent a strong message of their championship credentials last weekend with a 1-0 win over Chicken Inn. The goal came from the boot of Tinashe Makanda.
Zim Leopards are home against Mpopoma Pirates and would fancy their chances in front of their own supporters.
Chicken Inn must account for CS Distributors at Njube Desert if they want to keep their title hopes alive. Fifth-placed Toronto, who posted a 2-1 win over How Mine with Utonga Bouy scoring a brace, will be away to White Birds.
