Mrs Msipa succumbed to diabetes and hypertension on Saturday night.
Ambuya Tangwena (82), widow to national hero and liberation war icon Chief Rekayi Tangwena, also died last week from respiratory problems.
Mrs Msipa will be buried on Wednesday in Gweru while Ambuya Tangwena will be buried on Thursday in Nyanga.
Zanu-PF spokesperson Cde Rugare Gumbo said President Mugabe would attend the two burials.
“There were two issues we discussed — Ambuya Tangwena and Mrs Msipa.
“Both were well known to President Mugabe.
“When he came from Ghana he stayed with the Msipas and with Ambuya Tangwena they stayed together when he went to Mozambique.
“Chief Tangwena looked after the President and Cde (Edgar) Tekere,” he said.
Cde Gumbo said the Politburo felt that Ambuya Tangwena was not an active politician.
“Ambuya Tangwena was not a political animal or activist. She was a spirit medium for Chief Tangwena. Her role was limited to dealing with Chief Tangwena.
“Politburo felt she does not qualify to be a national heroine but would be given state assisted funeral as a liberation heroine.
“The same applies to Mrs Msipa. Both will be buried in the next two days, Mrs Msipa on Wednesday and Ambuya Tangwena on Thursday.
“The President has indicated that he will attend both funerals,” he said.
The Politburo and Central Committee which were supposed to meet on Thursday and Friday respectively will now meet on Friday and Saturday.
The Zanu-PF Manicaland province had requested that Ambuya Tangwena be accorded national heroine status saying she played a pivotal role during the liberation war.
Ambuya Tangwena was born on December 11, 1930 in Gairezi area under Chief Tangwena.
She married Chief Tangwena in 1945.
