Lifeless duel ends in goalless draw…GONE TO THE DOGS

Dynamos…………………………………………………….0

Triangle United…………………………………………….0

AFTER the heights of last week’s Derby win, this was a return to mediocrity for Dynamos in this dull Castle Lager Premiership match.

The highlights were provided by a dog, which wandered onto the pitch before the game, even peed on the surface, before being chased away.

It would be fair to also suggest that this was a game which went to the dogs.

Then, at the end, the DeMbare fans gathered to shower crowd favourite, Denver Mukamba, with some cash blessings.

It didn’t seem to matter to them that the midfielder was an unused substitute yesterday.

Coach Herbert Maruwa said it was fair result.

“It’s still early, as you can see that Highlanders and FC Platinum also dropped points, we will keep on fighting until we get it right,” he said.

“It was a fair result, Triangle played very well, they are very organised because they managed to share spoils with FC Platinum and Chicken Inn.

“We wanted an early goal but we failed, I think our wingers were not effective enough to breach the Triangle defence but we created better chances after the introduction of Elie Ilunga and Nyasha Chintuli.”

He said he was happy that they didn’t conceded a goal.

His counterpart, Thulani Sibanda, said he was satisfied with a stalemate and insisted that Dynamos will not find it easy when they visit Gibbo.

“I think it’s a point gained, we struggled a bit in the first half and I think we got better in the second half when we neutralised them by introducing ball players.

“I thought Dynamos struggled each time we had the ball.

“I don’t think it’s going to be easy for them when they come to Gibbo.”
